VISITS AND TALKS
Visitors are welcome and we are more than happy to give you information about the owls to anyone willing to learn more.
School visits are something that we are able to do and there are some local primary schools who already ask us to come to help their pupils learning when they are studying ‘Nocturnal Animals’ or reading a book like ‘Owl Babies’. We love being able to do this and we cater for all ages from nursery to secondary schools and colleges.
You may even see us about at various local events such as Fun Days and Fetes.
Where We Go
You can usually find us in Folkestone town centre on a Thursday and Saturday between 10am and 3pm, weather permitting. There will be up to 7 of our resident owls on display and keepers present to answer any questions you may have.We can also visit schools, clubs and associations, bringing a ‘friendly’ owl or two with us so that children (and adults) can experience the magic of a close encounter, arousing their natural curiosity and interest. We don’t charge for this service but donations are always gratefully received.
